We have so much to be thankful for! Caroline and Elizabeth are truly gifts from God. We are finally over the bug that was going thru the house, we are left with nice snotty noses tho... comes with the territory I guess! Elizabeth continues to amaze me every day! Caroline is adding more and more words to her vocabulary. I had the chance to take Caroline out for a Mommy Caroline date on Saturday. Daddy was sweet enough to stay home with Elizabeth who still wasn't feeling very good. We went to get lunck and I ordered Caroline a treet (we don't do sodas so it was a VERY big treet!) a Shirly Temple! She took one drink, her eyes got huge and she gave me the most wonderful hug around my neck, and she said Thank you mommy I love pink drink! I love the little moments like that! We finished decorating for Christmas, Caroline and Elizabeth both are enjoying the tree. They get to see Santa next week! I can't wait! Enjoy the pictures. We love you all!

So Elizabeth FINALLY has her first tooth... We have been teething forever and that booger finally made it's way in! She has been "talking" so much all week! Between her and Caroline I can hardly hear myself think. Elizabeth figured out that she can walk if she's holding on to stuff. It looks so funny to see a baby so small "walking'arround! Its been so pretty here so we've gotten to play out side quite abit this past week. She loves the little tikes car and after a few fits Caroline figured out that she can ride her bikes along side of Elizabeth and they can both play! Caroline is loving her big big girl bed, almost 2 weeks now and she hasn't come crawing into mommy and daddy's bed once! :) She has Elizabeth craw into bed with her everymorning to play with bears and puppy. I LOVE watching them play together, it is just way to sweet! My camera battery is dead so I'll add the outside pictures tomorrow. We LOVE you ALL and we hope you enjoy these pictures!

The leaves are falling, the temperatures are cooling and there is the wonderfull smell of fires in the air, yes it is fall! We went to the pumpkin patch last week. The girls had already been once, but I wanted to go with them too. So we packed up and headed out on our kunkin ( that's what Caroline call's pumpkins ) adventure! Caroline, being the smart little girl that she is, once again picked out little pumpkins. In her little mind she doesn't understand why she should want a big one because she wants to carry it all by her self! We had so much fun and she even picked out some for Elizabeth! We carved our pumpkins with the Malones. While the adults were carving the girls started out by picking out the seeds for roasting, but quickly decided that it was much more fun to make pumpkin soup! The table cloth that was laied down was pretty much useless! Last night we went to Boo at the Zoo! We all had so much fun. Caroline jumped thru the entire zoo, I kept waiting for her to run out of energy but 2 and 1/2 hours later she was still going full force! Elizabeth was great, she even kept the hood of her costume on all night long! A fun fun week. Now to get back on schedule. Love you all, hope that you enjoy the pictures!

A Fresh Start

So I have not done a very good job of keeping up our blog, especially since Elizabeth has been born. I realized to day that not only is this a great way to keep our family up to date on the goings on of our family, it serves as a great journal for me to look back at! So I am setting a new goal, hopefully a realistic one, to blog atleast once every 2 weeks. Lets start with Caroline. My beautiful little girl is growing up so fast. It is so fun to watch her become a little kid... sad too! She has the best imagination and a wonderful heart! She loves her sister so much. She loves to make Elizabet smile, she acts so proud of herself when her sister laughs at her. Caroline's favorite thing in the world to do is jump! This girl jumps 90% of the time! :) I love that she loves music, she will cry such big tears if I close the piano up, and she can turn anything into a drum kit (and the girl has rythem! I think she inhereted some of her pawpaw's tallent).
Elizabeth is growing faster that I can keep up with. I sware I just had her yesterday, yet here we are at 7 months already! She started crawing just before she turned 6 months, all she wants to do is keep up with Caroline! Now that she has the crawing down she realizes that yes it's nice but shes still not quite fast enough! I have no doubt that she will be crawing by Christmas! AHHH! She is such a sweet baby, with a beautiful smile and even better laugh! Her laugh reminds me of my Pawpaw's laugh. These girls make me miss Granny and Pawpaw so much. They would love these girls so much!
Casey and I are doing great. I have become a stay at home mommy. It has required sacrifice but we feel that this is what God wants for our family. God is good and we KNOW that he will take care of us, and he has. He promises us that he cares for us even more that the birds of the sky and the grass of the field, we know that God had AMAZING things instore for our family, so as for tomorrow... we're going to let HIM take care of it, and we will enjoy it when it gets here. We are blessed to have family's that have trained us up the way we should go, and now it's our turn to pass it on. We love you all so much!

We have had a very full week this week, officially into the full swing of summer. We took Caroline to see her first movie, we saw up. She loved it and was SO good! The theater here will be showing kids movies all summer long for free, so i think that we will be doing it again! On Wednesday we had a super play date at the splash pad! Caroline did bump her head again really good, but we still had a lot of fun! Thursday we spent the gloomy day with Cadence and painted for the first time. They did dot paint which was as neat as possible for an almost 2 year old! Friday we went to Tatarus for gymnastics play and had tons and tons of fun! Friday night to the tiki hut to dance! What a great start to summer!

So summer is officially here! It is starting to dry up a little, and it is oh so hot! We had the chance to take the girls to Sevierville a couple of weeks ago, to the new indoor water park Caroline was in heaven, her sister however did not share her love of water! This weekend we took a mommy daddy break for our anniversary. We missed the girls so much but we had a gret time together. On sunday we took Caroline to see her first movie! We saw UP! Caroline sat there... AMAZED... for alomst the whole movie. She was so good, and it turns out she loves popcorn! We're going to the splash pad tommorow so I'm sure we'll have even more to talk about next week! Love you all.

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great week. Can you believe that Elizabeth... now starting to be called Libby (we just don't have the time for 4 sylables :))... is 7 weeks old?! I have to say I am pretty impressed with myself, 7 weeks, that is how long I made it until I finally had to go and buy diapers! Not bad if I do say so myself! Caroline and Libby have a new cousin. Lyla was born on Saturday morning sometime early I think. I haven't talked to Katy yet, but I hear that mommy and baby are doing great. You might see some repeat pictures this week. Some people weren't able to view the slide show so I have picked a few pictres from each of the past 3 weeks plus a few new ones. Well I hear Caroline waking up in her room so I'm going to go ahead and end now. I hope that everyone has a great week! Love to you all. On here I'm slacking, but only because I am so not slacking anywhere else in my life right now! That isn't even an option! We are having so much fun as it is getting prettier and prettier outside. Times are tough right now on everyone I know, but I have to say that I am so thankful that things are like they are. If nothing else the current economic circumstances are allowing my family to be so much closer. Casey's work eliminated the 2nd shift so for the first time in almost 5 years we are together during the week now. It has been a struggle, I'll admit, (We are having to learn how to live with each other again) but it has been so wonderful to get to spend all this time together as a family! We are getting to go to the park alot, or just go for a walk after dinner! Elizabeth is doing great. She is a whopping 10 pounds now! Quite a change after Caroline! On Carolines 1 month Dr.'s visit she weighed 4lb. 11oz.! Elizabeth was 9lb. 13oz.! Caroline continues to amaze us every single day. She is so full of life, joy, and excitement! Her little imagination...well the only thing little about it is the head that it is in! She is loving playing mommy to her baby dolls, and plays with her animals all day long! When I was feeding Elizabeth the other day she looked around at all of the "tummy time" toys and arranged them to make her self and obstacle course! I wish that I could have gotten to the camera! She had to jump over the raised mirror of the jungle mat, craw under the butterfly canopy, the she moved the barn yard to the end of the mat to jump over that, then she had to run around the baby bath tub as fast as she could, back to the beginning and applaud herself for a job well done! I love her so much! I never could have imagined that any one could love this much! I can't wait till both of them are playing with the obstacle courses and racing each other... I don't think that life could get much better. At the rate that Elizabeth is going it wont be long till their race either! She is already pushing herself up, scooting (when she's mad) and she's been caught rolling over a couple of times! Well as you can see we are having a blast! I am having fun getting Caroline out we've gone to the park, the mall, gymnastics... this week we're trying the zoo, and who knows what else! We love you all!! Enjoy the pictures.

Easter

First of all we hope that every one had a wonderful and blessed Easter! Casey and I were fortunate enough to see God working in some amazing ways! Our church met at The Civic Coliseum and we had around 6,000 in attendance. To be with that many people praising and worshiping God was truly amazing and wonderful. Can you believe that Elizabeth will be 1 month old this week?! I sure can't. I am very glad that I figured out how to do the slide show, there are ton's of pictures this week and there is now way that I could have posted them all one by one! Elizabeth finally got to have her first bath this week. I expected it to be alot worse than it was, she actually didn't mind that much! The weather got pretty again so Caroline has been able to play outside quite a bit. She is defiantly an out doors kind of girl, and it turns out so is Elizabeth. Elizabeth just loved being so warm. Caroline got to go to her cousin Courtney's birthday party at Uncle Davids house. She fit right in with the "big girls"! She was dancing with them and having a great time. She was friends with anyone and everyone who had a few bites to share off of their plate. Easter was wonderful! The girls spent the night with Nannie Annie and Papaw Steve. After church we went and picked them up to go to Nana Barbara's and Papaw John's. Caroline got to spend the afternoon playing with bubbles, and hunting eggs with her cousins. We couldn't believe what a great job she did finding eggs, she didn't need us one bit! She is such a big girl now *sigh*. Elizabeth will have her 1 month check up this week, I am dying to see how much she has grown! I'll have an update for everyone next week! Love you all.

Hi everyone, I hope that you all are having a great week! We are doing pretty good. Until last night Elizabeth has been sleeping 7 hour stretches through the night! Caroline has been wonderful to her. Caroline is trying to talk so hard... she blabbers on all day, and we can make out a few words. I'm sure that she'll wake up one morning and have a full vocabulary! She can even say Elizabeth already! I did the pictures different this week, it takes such a long time to upload pictures one at a time onto this site, this was much faster! Have a happy Easter everyone!

The first 2 weeks!

So we have offically survived the first 2 weeks of Elizabeths little life! Things are going pretty good. We are slowly getting into a routine, and Caroline is starting to like sister. I love watching Caroline learn to love her sister, and I pray daily that their relationship will be one that they can count on and cherish for the rest of their life! So today is Elizabeth's 2 week birthday. She got to get dressed up for the first time and we went to Wal-Mart for the first time! Enjoy the pictures! We love you all.

okay... these first 2 pictures I have tried everything I can think of to get them going the right way and nothing is working! This first one is just too cute... we put Caroline to bed tonight and before we turned out her light we looked back and this is what we saw. She had smuggled a book into bed with her and was reading it to her teddy bear and Spunkie! So cute my little book worm!!!

Well we are home now and making an attempt to settle in! Everything has been very different this time compared to Caroline. Casey and I are really feeling like fish out of water! So we have a game plan for now... but come Sunday night we're going to start all over! Caroline is being a breat big sister! She is starting to interact more and more with sister, and bringing her things to make her happy!

I know, I know it's been FOREVER since I've updated our page! We finally are back on line are ready to keep up with this page agagn! So we are just a couple of weeks away from welcoming the next addition to our family. Elizabeth Ryan Johnson will be here the week of March 9th! Caroline is doing beautifully! She is 19 months now and very busy! We have loved watching her grow from a baby into a little girl. She has the most independent little spirit, one that I love and dread all at the same time! The zoo!!!

So Caroline's first trip to the zoo was today. To say that she had fun might be one of the biggest understatement that I've heard in long time! I've put the pictures and a couple of videos on here so enjoy them. Caroline and I are going to see her PawPaw and Nana next week. She was ready for the bird to move so that we could continue on.

We got to feed him, but the food wasn't enough... He decided (after I put the camera away) to nibble on her toes too! In his defense though... if you 'll look closly you'll see that she had those little toes proped up right there for him!

This is her new zebra friend. She spit at him and he spit back! They carried on a very long conversation that you can see some of in the video!

Caroline and this meerkat (don't know how to spell her name) had a staring contest... the meerkat won!

She was pooped! She slept through most of the monkey area.

She had just seen a crocodile here. She was trying everything in her power to get out of the stroller and get him! EWWWWW my daughter likes reptiles!

Okay I have to say this might have been the highlight of my day. She went on her first carousel ride and she had a blast!!!!

This was her first petting zoo experience. They didn't have many choices though. They only had the goats and a lamma ( Her Aunt Patty would have loved that part!)

In the kids cove they had this frog pond. She made some of her biggest splashes yet!

WE LOVE SPRING! Now that the weather is finally warm and pretty we can play outside, and Caroline loves being outside. We were able to take her to the park for the first time. She wasn't too crazy about the slide but she LOVED the swings! Her giggle and squeals were priceless. We started swimming lessons this week and she is a natural! She absolutely loved being in the water, I didn't have a camera person this week, but hopefully this week Nanny Annie will be going with us to hold the camera and you can all see my little fishy next week. So I'm working on the video uploads now, hopefully this works, if not I'll keep on trying. Tonight I'll just be putting up pictures and videos from the park, but keep on checking back this week, I will put up Easter pictures and swimming pictures as they come. Hello everyone! So we now have 2 teeth! Caroline is an expert at sitting all on her own. We had a BEAUTIFUL week, so we were able to take 2 afternoons and go outside for walks! She had so much fun. Everytime we passed a yard with dogs she would start squilling and throwing her arms all around! I think that we are finally getting used to the time change, we did have a very rough week when it came to nap time and bed time! As much as I wanted to be and looked foward to being a mommy, I don't think that I ever really understood how much fun I would have, and that's only the beggining. I am so humbled when I think that God is actually trusting me to raise this beautiful girl. Every day is a new adventure, her smile and laugh are truly enfectious. I sit at work all day long counting down the seconds till I get to see that innocent face again. I really never knew that I could love this much. I have a whole new appreciation and level of respect for my parents. They are who made me the mom that I am. A little ramlily I know, but hey, this is what blogs are for... right? It's very late now, and I am guarented an early morning of smiles and giggles so I think that I should go to bed now. I hope that every one enjoys the pictures this week, I can't wait to tell you what is new next week! I love you all! Have a wonderfully blessed week!

Caroline has had a lot of first's this week! She got her first tooth (finally!). She got her first play room, having our family room has been such a blessing, hopefully we'll be able to completly finish it soon! We love that we have a big, open, dog free place for her to play in, it gives us a huge peace of mind. She is sitting up on her own now. She can finnally play with some of her toys! Before she could sit, we had to put the stuff on her highchair tray and she just couldn't reach as well. She is also rolling over from her back to her tummy. The problem with that now is she seams to have forgotten how to roll over from her tummy to her back, so she gets stuck! Her back half wants to craw, but her front half just is not cooperating! My baby is growing up very quickly. I can not believe that she will be 8 months next week, THAT'S CRAZY!!!!! Well I think that that is enough for this week, I've got some pictures to post now, and I will TRY to put up more as the week goes by. Who knows what this week has in store for us! We love you all!

Let me see.... We had Carolines 6 month well baby check up ( cant remember if that was before the last time that I posted here) She weighed 16 lbs and 8 oz. and is in the 75th percentile for weight. She is 26 and 3/4 in. long and in the 56th percentile for height. Everything is looking great. She has started making "kissy faces" back at us and she's having lots of fun learning how her lips work... She will be a great zerbert giver! Hope everyone is having a good week, enjoy the pictures!

Okay, I know it's been a while... What can I say, Caroline doesn't like me to do stuff that doesn't envolve her! So, I've slacked alittle with the pictures this month. I promise everyone that I'll try and do a better job! We had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and she is up to 16 pounds and 2 ounces. A big girl now! She likes standing ( with some support of course ) but shes just not interested in crawing. Still no theeth, but there are plenty trying to make there way in. She is so much fun right now. If we pretend to sneeze she cracks up, and she is very tickleish! Here are some pictures from the today. We love you all!

Hello everybody! I know, I know, it's been forever since I've written here. The Holidays were CRAZY! I have never been so tired! Christmas was wonderful. We had so much fun giving Caroline her first Christmas. She got to meet so many new people. Santa treated her very good this year. She got her first doll, a Raggedy Anne doll, and a snuggle blanket, and lots of teething toys. The teething toys couldn't have come at a better time too. While we were in Kansas City we entered into full force teething! NOT FUN! Let's see, what all has happened.... oh.... Caroline finally had her 4 month well baby check up, and at that time she was up to 14 pounds and 8 ounces. We should have her rsv shot this week and I'll get to find out what we are up to now. She is standing on her legs while holding onto something. OH yeah.... she found her voice.... and boy does she use it! She is telling us everything that she hasn't been able to tell us for the past 5 months! Well those are the main points. I'll work harder on getting on here regularly for everybody. Wish me luck! We had a GREAT week. I was amazed with how good, no great, Caroline was on the plane. She is a great little traveler! We had so much fun in Kansas City. Caroline got to meet a whole bunch of new people. We had a great Thanks Giving, and vacation as a whole. I wish we could have had time to spend there so that we could have seen everybody that we wanted to see! So it's Monday night, and we will be in town tommrow for Dr. appointments. Wednesday morning we take off again for San Diego, to see David become an official United States Marine. I can't wait! Stay tuned for more pictures next week! Love to everybody!

Hi everybody! This has been a fun week! Carolines started to laugh! She thinks that her feet are so funny! She is getting so big! We moved up to 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers! She's growing so fast. I put up our Christmas tree, and she LOVES IT!! We are going to have a crazy couple of weeks here. This week we are going to Kansas City for Thanksgiving. As soon as we get back to Knoxville, Her and I are packing up to go to San Diego for David's graduation. I'm so glad that we get to go and see Hunky David! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

This has been another good week. Our first Halloween was fun, I'm sure it will be more fun in the years to come. Still, she was a perfect little pumpkin! Today, we had her dedicated it church. Thanks to Jan Green, Caroline was beautiful! We had so much family there. It really ment so much to Casey and I to have our family there supporting us. Thank you to Mom, Steve, Katy, Eric, John, Barbara, Drew, Aunt Pat, Aunt Jackie, and Aunt Judy! Caroline aslo got a beautiful bracelet from the "great aunts!" This week will be hard. I have to go back to work tommrow, and I DON"T WANT TO!!!!! Hopefully this year will fly by and I can enjoy my summer with her. We start physical therapy tuesday. I am really looking foward to it. I think that it will be great for her. Hope you all have a great week! We love you all.

Sorry that I didn't get this done last weekend, and I'm also sorry that there will be no pictures with this blog. My computer is VERY sick and I am trying to get the pictures off of it, but in the mean time, I have to use someone elses computer. Fun week though. Since the last time that I wrote, Caroline has met some more of her family. Uncle Richard, Aunt Jane, Uncle Eric, and best of all her Pawpaw...(my dad). She had a very successful first sleep over with her Nannie Annie! She got to have a great girls night shopping, and she got to go to church with her the next day. We got to turn in the heart monitor! She will do periodic sleep studies just to make sure that there are no problems that pop up later. She will be starting physical therapy here in the next week or so, to help her muscle development, and motor skill development. We will do that weekly. She had a very successful first road trip! She did GREAT! Slept almost the whole way. We had a great time with her Aunt Katy and Uncle Eric. We spent the weekend down at there camp. We even got to do a little bit of shopping. She is eating great, sleeping great, and growing like a weed! I have one more week of maternity leave. I DO NOT WANT to go back! I really wish that our house payment would fall out of the sky so that I could stay home with her. So I guess that's about it for now. Hopefully next week I can get pictures on here!

This has been a pretty good week! Caroline is now a wopping 10 pounds! The sleep study seems to have gone well. Wednesday we go back to UT for a NICU evaluation. We will get the final results from the sleep study and meet with some physical therapist to see if there would be any benifit to having Caroline in some speech and occupational therapy. Oh yeah, she gets to meet her Pawpaw next week and go to visit her Aunt Katy! I know she's as excited as I am. Tomrow she is having her first sleep over with her Nannie Annie. All and all a pretty good week.

So, as you can imagine, my time on the computer has become slightly limited! I want everyone to know what is going on with Miss Caroline, and see her too, but I just don't have the time to e-mail everyone as much as I want to. I think that this might just be the solution to the problem. Once a week, I will update this site with new pictures and let you know how Caroline is doing. I hope that everyone enjoys this!

This has been a pretty big week for Caroline. Friday night we started cereal! She gets one bowl a night, and we don't have to get up every 3 hours now!!!! She also went to her first movie. She did so good, granted she slept the whole time! We also got to spend Saturday up in the mountains with Caseys Dad and Barbara. Oh yeah Uncle Drew too!

We've got a busy week this week. We start her RSV immunization on Tuesday. As greatful as I am that she qualified for the RSV shot, I'm not excited about the shot itself!!!!! Thursday, we have her sleep study on Thursday, and if everything goes well... NO MORE MONITOR!!!!!
